PCB Design

PCB Design & Layout

We develop schematics and PCB layouts around electrical, mechanical and manufacturing requirements. Work can begin with requirements, a block diagram, a prototype or existing files. Reviews and prototype checks are selected for the project.

Engineering Scope

  • Schematic capture and design review
  • Component selection with availability and lifecycle checks
  • Multilayer layout with project-specific stack-up planning
  • Controlled-impedance and differential-pair routing where required
  • Power distribution, thermal relief and copper balancing
  • DRC/ERC, design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly checks

Potential Deliverables

Deliverables, file formats and verification activities are determined during project scoping.

  • Schematic PDF and native files
  • Gerbers / ODB++ and drill files
  • Bill of materials with alternates
  • Pick-and-place and assembly drawings
  • 3D model (STEP) for enclosure fit

A good fit for

  • Turning a dev-board prototype into a single custom board
  • Shrinking an existing board or reducing layer count
  • Redesigning around obsolete or hard-to-source parts

How an engagement works

  1. Share what you have — an idea, requirements, a prototype or existing design files.
  2. Engineering review — an engineer assesses scope, risks and the practical next step.
  3. Quotation - where the work is feasible, we agree scope, deliverables, price and timeline.
  4. Agreed engineering work — coordinate directly with our engineering team by email.

PCB Design — frequently asked questions

How many layers will my PCB need?

Layer count depends on routing density, interfaces, noise constraints and manufacturing requirements. We review the schematic and constraints before recommending a stack-up.

Which EDA tools do you use?

Tool access, native formats and neutral outputs such as Gerber, ODB++, STEP or PDF are confirmed during project scoping.

Can you review a PCB someone else designed?

We can review schematics, layout, interfaces and manufacturing constraints. Further design work is agreed after review.
